Mill Road Pavements

Labour were as much part of getting the pavements straightened in Mill Road as anyone else.  Claims by the LibDems that it was their campaign that got this funding are not the whole truth.  This was a joint effort with Labour and also included the Mill Road Traders Association, ENRAG and a lot of individuals.  In political terms it was all the local county councillors and resulted in £287,000 being allocated to repair the pavements.  At this minute it seems as if only parts of the pavement are going to be refurbrished and so there needs to be a really quick political steer to find out if this is it or if there is a whole lot more work going to be done!
